• Good morning, Springfield High! Today is Thursday, May 7th

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.  

  • Tutoring is available for all students.  Normal tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays continues from 3:30-4:30 in room 160.  In addition, tutoring is also now available on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room 116.

  • To any student who is involved in the Assassins game, this is a reminder that you may not have any activity on school grounds or during school times or anything related to the game during the school day. Please know we are concerned for your safety and need you to make good decisions. Please see Leardi or Adeniji with questions. 

  • Be A Senator will have a meeting this Wednesday after school in the Commons. We will vote on officers for next year. All are welcome.  

  • Any SHS student looking for a summer job opportunity through the Youth Employment Program and Abundant Faith, see Leardi, Almdale or Dorr. Jobs are available June 8 - August 8 and students can earn $16 an hour on different job sites. Paid training is included, and bus tickets are available for those needing transportation.   • Celebrate spring and your senior with a purchase of SHS's 25-26 yearbook and a senior ad at yearbookforever.com. Deadline to place ads is 5/20. 

  • Attention Senior athletes who have committed, or plan to commit to play a sport at the collegiate level.  Wednesday May 20th will be Signing Day at SHS.  At 3:30 pm we will recognize our athletes who will continue to play in college.  If you are one of these senior athletes, please stop by the main office and pick up an informational form to complete and return.  The forms must be returned to the main office by 3:30 pm on Friday 5/8/26.  See Mr. Barnes with any questions.

  • Attention anyone interested in becoming a Springfield High School Cheerleader for the 2026-2027 school year. Tryouts will take place today May 7th through May 9th in the SHS Auxiliary gym. Tryout packets are available in the main office. Please contact Mrs. Walls with questions

  • The African American History Museum is looking for interested high school students who can work at the AAHM Camp this summer. Locations and jobs will be discussed upon interview. You can find the application link below

  • Auditions for 7 & Senators will be held on Wednesday, May 6th right after school (2:30 pm) in the Choir room. You will need to sing the national anthem a cappella; we will teach you part of a song to sing in a small group

  • Volleyball workouts on Tuesday & Thursday this week 

  • Student Council and Class Officer elections will be held next Thursday, May 7th. Information for those interested in running can be found on the class Canvas page. Forms must be turned in by this Tuesday (May 5th) by 3:30 PM to run. See or email Mr. Kramer in 153A with any questions. 

  • The Senior Recognition Ceremony is Tuesday, May 12th, at 7:00 p.m. in the gym. While not all students will be recognized on stage, all graduating seniors are invited. Please call the main office with any questions.

  • The boys track and field team won their 17th consecutive city title last night in dominating fashion scoring 151 points.  City Champions for SHS were: Jamel Battie in the 200; Deandre Brown in the 400; Jake Tolsdorf in the 800; Jeremiah Prather in the Fresh/Soph 800; Alexander Ratz in the 1600; DJ Peeler in the 3200; Deanthony Brown in the 300 Hurdles; Trey Sutton in the shot put and discus; Richawn Crawford in the Long Jump; Daniel Jones in the fresh/soph pole vault; the 4x100 relay team of Declan Brown Christcheon Taylor, Deandre Brown and Jamel Battie; the 4x400 relay team of Deanthony Brown, Jake Tolsdorf, Kai Rinaberger, and Deandre Brown; and the 4x800 relay team of Clayton Borah, Kai Rinaberger, Joel Ramirez, and Nathan Price.  The boys next compete on Saturday at the Collinsville Invite. 

  • The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team competed in the Triad Quad yesterday. In doubles, Jai Khurana/Shrihan Aleti were undefeated while Bennett Nelson claimed a victory in singles.
