• Good morning, Springfield High! Today is Friday, May 1st

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.  

  • Tutoring is available for all students.  Normal tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays continues from 3:30-4:30 in room 160.  In addition, tutoring is also now available on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room 116.

  • Be A Senator is happy to announce the winners of this week's drawing:  Michael Eguez, Ezra Hines, Zoey Thongsithavong, Mayango Jallah, Janvi Patel, Ava Loftus, Amaya Banta-Taylor, Maria Hancock, Lakesha Frazier, Harmony Crites, Ursula Phillips-Eccles, Zelda Newhouse-Bailey, Madelyn McCaherty, Ruoshui Cai, Quincy Porter, Abigail Eldridge and Adrianna Ousley. To claim your prize, please go to the Be A Friend table in the cafeteria today on your lunch shift. Also, don’t forget to look for the Friends signs that are hidden throughout the school.   • Prom tickets are being sold all week on both lunch shifts for $25 a piece. Tickets are available at the door for $25 each.

  • Celebrate spring and your senior with a purchase of SHS's 25-26 yearbook and a senior ad at yearbookforever.com. Deadline to place ads is 5/20. 

  • Attention Senior athletes who have committed, or plan to commit to play a sport at the collegiate level.  Wednesday May 20th will be Signing Day at SHS.  At 3:30 pm we will recognize our athletes who will continue to play in college.  If you are one of these senior athletes, please stop by the main office and pick up an informational form to complete and return.  The forms must be returned to the main office by 3:30 pm on Friday 5/8/26.  See Mr. Barnes with any questions.

  • Attention anyone interested in becoming a Springfield High School Cheerleader for the 2026-2027 school year. Tryouts will take place May 7th through May 9th in the SHS Auxiliary gym. Tryout packets are available in the main office. Please contact Mrs. Walls with questions

  • The African American History Museum is looking for interested high school students who can work at the AAHM Camp this summer. Locations and jobs will be discussed upon interview. You can find the application link below

  • Auditions for 7 & Senators will be held on Wednesday, May 6th right after school (2:30 pm) in the Choir room. You will need to sing the national anthem a cappella; we will teach you part of a song to sing in a small group

  • Student Council and Class Officer elections will be held next Thursday, May 7th. Information for those interested in running can be found on the class Canvas page. Forms must be turned in by this Tuesday (May 5th) by 3:30 PM to run. See or email Mr. Kramer in 153A with any questions. 

  • Cold Brew and flavored lemonade will be sold during both lunch shifts today. This will be the last day of the school year.

  • Hey, Hey, FBLA…

Business Club current members, come out to the Washington Wing, WW11 on Wednesday May 6th after school at 2:30 for our last meeting of the school year.   • I, Dr Leardi, declare today the best day ever. Your reward is $1 popcorn! Today both lunch shifts we will have hot and fresh popcorn ready for you!

  • Seniors, today is national decision day. Check all deadlines and make sure you have accepted your admission and completed all tasks to ensure you reserve your spot place. Even if you think you did it, double check again! Congrats on making a big decision! Be sure to fill out the Final Plans document on your class canvas page!

  • The Senator softball team dropped a road game in Warrensburg on Thursday, but had some bright spots at the plate. Lanie D. led the game off with a solo home run to straight away center while both Erin Stoop and Alivia Rothermich kept the bats hot, both hitting singles and reaching base. Good work ladies.
